Mulung's first single "Gardish" is available on YouTube! 
Mulung's first single, "Gardish" is now available for download on iTunes, Amazon mp3 and other digital music stores. Check out the video on YouTube as well. Stay tuned for the release dates for the album. 
Biography
Mulung’s interest in music started at an early age; however, with no real resources for a musical education, around he learned song writing from listening to his favorite artists. Mulung was born and raised in Pakistan and moved to the US at a young age. A few years after moving to the US, he wanted to pursue his goal of learning to play a musical instrument and decided on the guitar. According to Mulung “Once you start exploring the music world, you meet some very interesting personalities - people who think chords and notes and frets. I felt a connection". What started out as an experiment turned into an outlet. Mulung continued to play and create through college where he got several opportunities to perform in front of diverse audiences. “I would be at birthday parties and people would show up with their friends, who would not know the person whose birthday it was but they knew me because they had seen me perform at some local college event”.
Roughly two years into his college career, Mulung wrote his first song and a few weeks later, a song called “Shaam se Pehlay”. “'Shaam Se Pehlay', set a standard for lyrics, music, arrangement, melody and songwriting in general for me. It took me two years to finish it”. “I never thought I would ever be able to write a song - even a bad one. Without understanding what I was doing, I would write down thoughts or melodies or chords and follow what I had learned from listening to my favorite artists and eventually it would come together”. During college Mulung organized a show by the Pakistani band “Junoon” in the town of Kalamazoo, MI. During the course of organizing the show, he found about a very talented producer who had worked with Junoon named John Alec. John has an impressive list of hits with the band. Mulung decided to ask for John’s help. “It was shortly after I graduated from college that I got in touch with John once again. He told me to give the song writing some time and write a lot of material before I get into the studio”. Mulung took this advice and just let the process take its pace.
Mulung’s introduction as a singer/songwriter comes with his solo album titled "Gardish", due to be released in Summer 2010. The album consists of songs with a wide range of musical styles, mostly based on acoustic instruments giving the entire project a wonderfully unique sound. It incorporates well placed hooks, addictive melody lines and music brought to life by passionate musicians who know the influence music has on listeners. The reaction of the audiences he has played in front so far has been very positive, proving that Mulung's music has tremendous potential.
The album was recorded in New York and Atlanta with producers John Alec and John Pratt (Boulevard Studios). John Pratt is an Atlanta based producer with over three decades of experience in the music industry.
